WHAT:  Comic-Con’s first-ever Hackathon! 

WHEN: July 18-19th, 2018

WHY: Do you have an idea for an app that will disrupt the way we experience, consume or create entertainment content?

Be part of history by partaking in the first Comic-Con Hackathon. This hackathon is designed to get you to think outside the box to innovate fan engagement and make the fan experience better!

The FutureTechLive!@Comic-Con Hackathon brings together teams of passionate fans collaborating with coders, hackers, artists, designers and tech specialists to make entertaining fan engagement experiences for mobile devices using VR/AR/MR (XR), Ai, and Blockchain technologies.

During this 1-day hack (and prep session the day before, where you also get a sneak peek and playtime with the coolest tech experiences at FutureTechLive!@Comic-Con), you will brainstorm and work to develop solutions to the identified problems and use XR, Ai and Blockchain move mobile fan experience forward. It's also your chance to create a valuable network of mentors and meet likeminded peers.

The themes: VR/AR/MR (XR), Ai, and Blockchain meets Mobile Fan Engagement and the Fan Experience!

Goals: Working towards working demos/prototypes at the end of the 1-day hack, to bring these ideas beyond presentations. 

We are inviting creative, technical and non-technical Comic-Con fans to learn XR and Blockchain tools and use these new skills to develop and create!

Participants will divided into teams no larger than 4.

Given the tight timeframe, these are expected to be rough prototypes to simply demonstrate the possibilities.

WEDNESDAY, July 18, 2018

•       HACKATHON CHECK-IN REGISTRATION – 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Participants (18+) will check in,networking, team formations, be introduced to the challenges, and get demos of the tools they can use to help hack. 
• Teams will reconvene at 8:00 am on Thursday for breakfast and Hackathon launch.
